Founded in very early 20th century, Lingnan art preserves the old techniques of Chinese painting while embracing the more modern western art styles.

Being the first to incorporate the use of opaque white into traditional Chinese paintings, Lingnan art can be perceived as the embodiment of both Oriental and Western painting styles that was easily appreciated across different cultures. In fact, one of the founders even suggested that all the good points from masterpieces across different countries and cultures should be embraced.

Isn't that what Art is all about today? And that was partly how I fell in love with it...
